The motivation for return on investment, focusing on self-interest, personal and professional gain, and achieving extraordinary results.
The DISC + Motivators assessment connects behavior with the passions behind it, giving you a
complete view of how
people show up and why.
Motivation influences decisions and actions, but it’s how those motivations are
expressed through DISC behavioral styles that brings them to life.
The DISC + Motivators Assessment connects both, showing how passion and behavior
interact in real situations, so you can understand not just what drives someone, but how
it shows up in what they do.

DISC provides insight into how someone is likely to behave. Motivators reveal why they are
driven to act. When these are brought together, you gain a clearer understanding of how
behavior and motivation influence one another.
Motivators represent the underlying values and passions that shape decisions, priorities,
and focus. DISC shows how those drivers are expressed through behavior. Together, they
provide a more complete view of how individuals approach situations, make decisions, and
take action.
Research shows that successful people share a strong sense of self-awareness and awareness
of others. By understanding both behavioral style and motivators, it becomes easier to see
how these factors work together to move people forward, or where they may create friction.
The Motivators Assessment offers an in-depth identification and exploration of seven dimensions and how they uniquely combine to influence behavior, decisions, and actions:
The strong desire and need to achieve equilibrium between the world around us and ourselves.
The motivation for return on investment, focusing on self-interest, personal and professional gain, and achieving extraordinary results.
The need to be seen as autonomous, unique, and independent, and to stand apart from the crowd.
The need to be seen as a leader, while having influence and control over one's success.
The expression of the need or energy to benefit others at the expense of self.
The need to establish order, routine, and structure. This motivation is to promote a black-and-white mindset.
The desire to uncover, discover, and recover the "truth” for the sake of knowledge.
DISC + Motivators helps organizations understand not just how employees behave, but what drives their performance. By connecting behavior with motivation, teams can improve hiring decisions, develop stronger leaders, and increase engagement by aligning roles with what truly motivates individuals.
DISC + Motivators gives you a deeper level of insight to guide clients more effectively. By understanding both behavior and motivation, you can uncover misalignment, connect actions to underlying drivers, and lead more meaningful conversations that create real, lasting change and greater impact.

DISC shows how people behave. Motivators reveal what drives them. Certification gives you the ability to connect both with deeper insight and application perspectives, so you can understand how passion shows up through behavior in real situations.
Identify alignment and reduce friction
When behavior and motivation are aligned, performance improves. When they’re not, tension shows up. Certification equips you to recognize both, and guide individuals and teams toward better alignment.
Communicate with clarity and purpose
Understanding both behavioral style and motivation allows you to go deeper in coaching, leadership, and team conversations. You’ll be able to connect what people do with what drives them, and interact more effectively.

Is DISC + Motivators better than using them separately?
Each assessment provides value on its own. However, when used together, the insight becomes more
actionable.
The integrated report connects behavior with motivation, helping you understand not just what
someone does, but why AND how those two interact.
How does the DISC + Motivators integration work?
The DISC + Motivators report is fully integrated, not just two reports placed side by side.
It combines DISC behavioral styles with Motivators patterns to show how behavior and drivers
influence one another. Elements like Motivators Patterns and the Behavioral Blueprint connect
the two, giving you a clearer understanding of how someone’s passion shows up through their
behavior.
Do I need to be certified to use DISC + Motivators?
No, certification is not required to get started. However, certification provides a deeper
understanding of how to interpret the results, debrief reports, and apply the insights
effectively in coaching, leadership, and team development. Many practitioners who have been
using DISC and Motivators for years before getting certified consistently rave about how much
they didn’t realize they were missing, before becoming certified.
Can Motivators be used to benchmark new hires?
While there is no formal benchmarking for Motivators, when used appropriately DISC + Motivators
can provide valuable insight into how a candidate is likely to behave and what drives their
decisions, helping you better understand fit, communication style, and potential alignment with
the role.
At Assessments 24x7, our assessments meet EEOC standards for class protection and are commonly
used as part of the selection process. However, we never recommend making hiring decisions based
on assessment data alone. When combined with interviews, experience, and other evaluation
methods, they add meaningful context to the decision.
For a more comprehensive approach, solutions like DISC
Executive Insights may provide deeper
insight into what will drive success in a role and where support may be needed.
How often should the DISC + Motivators Assessment be taken?
DISC behaviors tend to remain relatively stable over time, while Motivators can evolve as
priorities, roles, and experiences change. Reassessing every 1–2 years is recommended to stay
aligned with current goals and better understand any shifts in motivation. This allows
individuals and teams to track growth, maintain alignment, and continue applying the insights
effectively.
